Jessica Nichols, M.S., LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
I primarily work with children and adolescents, their parents, and couples. I enjoy using the energy and creativity that comes with treating youth to help them move through tough times.
Because I primarily focused on younger clients, I tend to employ play therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy. My training includes dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy, and art therapy. I also help parents develop skills that they can use to encourage their children to live their best lives, both individually and in group parenting classes. While I genuinely enjoy working with kids, I also love doing couples and family therapy, which allows the entire family system the opportunity to change and grow.
I earned a Master of Science in Counseling from Missouri State University and am a licensed professional counselor. Additionally, I am AutPlay certified and a registered play therapist.
My additional training includes:
- Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT)
- Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT)
- Play Therapy
